During a survey taken in Various countries about the SEX experience of present days children before marriage?

During a survey taken from different countries in all metro cities about the SEX experiences of the present days boys and girls (-less than 18 years of age-), the officials were taken a back to find the result that nearly 50 % of them had already experienced the SEX with somebody . One more survey result revealed the news that those boys or girls (- 40% percent- )they do not use any condems for protecting for a healthy sex. Is not shocking. I expect only those boys and girls should answer my following question. What happened to your FAMILY ORIENTED VALUES or MORALS or GOOD BEHAVIOUR , Please answer me.

During a survey taken in Various countries about the SEX experience of present days children before marriage?
lack of moral education
Reply:if both r agree then there is no qtn of good behaviour or family o vals
Reply:IT is due to having distance from religion. No religion allows this bad practise before marriage.Religion can be only resistance among opposite young sexes.
Reply:Unfortunately not all children in fact a very large percentage of children are not raised in homes with "Family Oriented Values or Morals" so they have nothing to compare it to. In this age of the divorce rate being so high, not saying because you are divorced you have no morals for that is not true, but it is frightening to go through a high school and see and hear what the kids are talking about, wearing bracelets which shows if the girl has gone all the way, or to 2nd or third base, whats that all about..I see a lost generation in so many way and believe me I am very liberal but not when it comes to things like this , it scares me to death. NO condoms, AIDS,STDs etc...allot of parents also do not want education in the schools..It seems they go from one extreme or the other. I have seen more kids/young adults so confused for things that they have already done and can't undo and they come from all walks of life. I guess my point is, Children live what they learn and unfortunately many are learning their "values","morals" from their peers instead of their parents, divorced, married, adopted, gay parents ,straight parents, pastors kids...it does not seem to matter..What is the answer...if kids are going to learn from their peers maybe more of their peers that believe in abstinance and values need to step up and voice their opinion in a non threatening, non judgemental way....

Mother of two adult children, two grandchildren...
Reply:the percntage is higher as in indian villages which forms 65%of our population the marriage done at the age of 15 or less, its important to take responsibility of the action with mutual consent and love for each other rather than feeling low.love is pure and should be encouraged
Reply:Sex is a part of life.

Do values cause heavy breathing and a rapid heartbeat?
Reply:Ya...In todays fast paced Life. young ppl dont much care about the after effects until its too late..They realize the mistake very late after a bitter exp. Some do so just to be alike among a group of friends..But its bad..We must treasure our traditional and moral values , since we represent a democracy and have vary many cultures....

There needs to be much awareness amon t youth of today and must be educated so during school n college...

:)
Reply:Just because it is culturally inappropriate in your country, doesn't mean it is inappropriate in another country. It is inappropriate to try to see other cultures through your own values and beliefs, as other cultures can be far more different than you realise - even other western cultures can be quite different from each other.
Reply:values!
Reply:Mr rvr which moral values are u talking about. First of all this survey was conducted in western countries. Your and mine moral thoughts do not count there at all.

Even in India the times have changed and the younger generation does not want to live under the systems we used to live.

last but not the least having/indulging in sex has nothing to do with good/bad behaviour, if u dont mind.

I am not a young man objecting/criticising your question, i have also crossed 60 decades of my life in Indian and Abroad. I am just giving my opionion. dont take it otherwise.

Web survey that is exportable to Microsoft Excel?

Does anyone know of a good way to create a survey on a website with pre selectable answers, that can have it's results exported to Microsoft Excel?

Web survey that is exportable to Microsoft Excel?
Depends on where and in what format the survey answers are kept. Excel can import a variety of formats including simple delimited fields or XML. In fact, the easiest way to export to excel is just serialize your data into XML, write the XML file to a file and just give it the .xls extension instead of .xml.

If you data in kept in a DB, most DBMS clients allow you to export the data to a local file and specify various formats when doing so.

A lot depends on how the data is structured when you capture it.

Just read survey result on ,who looks at their reflection in the mirror the most.men or women?

What would you have said and what did you think the outcome was?

Just read survey result on ,who looks at their reflection in the mirror the most.men or women?
I suppose us women.... But maybe men are looking more at their reflection... Or admitting to looking at their reflection more..
Reply:Interestingly there are guys who take time to primp, but they're not likely to admit it unless they're secure in their sexuality. I'd say it's women much more often. It's because women don't like their hair messed up, have to check their makeup, have to remind themselves that they're beautiful, have to examine their figure, and want to make sure there are no boogies hanging or food in their teeth. I'm not saying guys don't care about their looks, they just don't make as big a deal about it.

Then again, I have an odd feeling it's men because "women" is the obvious answer. With homosexual, transsexual, ubersexual, metrosexual, and whatever other "sexual" there is it's quite possible the answer is men.

Apparently Yahoo is having some problems right now and not everybody is getting the emails alerting them that a contact has posted a question. After the question is resolved, are you going to post the stats of this survey you read? If so, under additional details, let us know so we can check back. Thanks. :o)
Reply:It doesnt really matter but all i know is that as a 21yr old man i hate looking in the mirror because i hate what i see and always will. There are people out there who are blessed with good looks and are lucky to have beautiful girlfriends where as i am not that lucky, therfore i hate what i see staring back at me and try to avoid mirrors unless its time to shave.Im sorry if this is not the type of answer you were looking for,but avoiding mirrors wherever possible is an everyday thing for me so i reckon women are more concerned with their looks.
Reply:The mirror is an utility item and is meant to be utilized accordingly, but not obsessively.
Reply:Women if survey by men, men if survey by women.

I am doing a survey on the Holocaust. Can anyone help me think of some questions to ask? I am stuck!?

The survey needs to be carefully constructed in order to give useable results. The questions need to be unbiased and worded so that everyone I ask will be able to answer the question clearly. Most questions should have answer options, rather than being open-ended; this will allow me to group answers together for better understanding.

I am doing a survey on the Holocaust. Can anyone help me think of some questions to ask? I am stuck!?
Don’t like the answer I’ve given, then PLEASE contact me and I will withdraw it, no questions asked.

I can help with resources but not with specific questions, I hope you find them useful for your research.

Will you help conducting an arm hair survey?

I want to prove that the myth about shaving your arm hair (forearm) makes it grow back thicker is really a myth, and I need some volunteer help.

Is there anyone here who:

Has arm hair and will shave it to see the results of regrowth?

Or who already shaves their arms and will let it grow out for a few days?

I want to try and prove this

Is anyone up for the challenge?

I`m not really looking for opinions here but volunteers,

My mail is in my profile, thanks.

Will you help conducting an arm hair survey?
Shaving doesn't make the hair grow back thicker. When you shave, you're just cutting off the hair at the skin level, you're not affecting the hair follicle AT ALL, and that's where changes in the hair originate. It feels like it's thicker because the hair grows at an angle that feels sharper and more noticeable.

Peanut Butter & Jelly - Pre-Science Fair Project Survey - Everyone Please Answer?

My 9 year old daughter (standing behind me as I type this) is trying to prepare for her science fair project "How To Make The Best Peanut Butter %26amp; Jelly Sandwich" - Step one is taste tests - step two is actually constructing the sandwich. How do you make your favorite PB %26amp; J sandwich? Please be as descriptive as possible. ie... kind of bread, brand of peanut butter, brand %26amp; flavor of jelly, jam or preserves.

(These survey results will be printed for my 9 year old daughters use in conducting her taste tests.)

Thank you all for your help - it is much appreciated.

Peanut Butter %26amp; Jelly - Pre-Science Fair Project Survey - Everyone Please Answer?
i take wonder bread put welches grape jelly and jif peanutbutter mix it in a bowl it may look disgusting but it's pb and j to me. slab this on the bread not too thick
Reply:Pre-Science Fair Project Survey...Is this what you really teach kids over there about science? At nine years old she should all ready be into Einsteinian and Newtonian physics. Love and happy xmas from us all at Aldermaston.
Reply:I like to toast the bread (different textures.)

I like supercrunchy Jif.

Our family tradition is grape jelly.

When we want it special, we go for Smuckers or for strawberry jam instead of plain old grape.

My husband taught me to spread the peanut butter with a spatula, because it's Much faster. Some of us insist on having the PB reach every corner of the bread.

I like the jelly to almost be messy.

We all like whole wheat bread, 9 grain or 12 grain.

Pumpernickle (dark) tastes good for a change, but not for all the time.

My dad is a physician. for all the years he worked, no matter What else he had for lunch, he always wanted a PB %26amp; J (grape) sandwich.

My nutrition teacher (grad school) said a person could live forever on PB sandwiches on whole wheat with whole milk, as long as they were careful in traffic. My husband ate only that for years before we were married. However, he was not careful in traffic and died in a car accident.

For a very fancy PB %26amp; J sandwich, add marshmallow Creme!

(I hope you get an A on your project!)
Reply:1 slice Iron Kids bread + 1/8 cup creamy Peter Pan Peanut Butter + 1 1/2 tsp honey.

I place the bread on my counter, grab a clean butter knife or spoon and dip it into the peanut butter thus getting peanut butter on the utensil. Next, I slather and spread the peanut butter onto the side of the bread facing up. Next, I squeeze on the honey and mix it around on the peanut butter with my clean index finger until it is thoroughly mixed all over the bread. Then I carefully pick it up (careful not to drop cause I don't want to clean peanut butter off of my floor) and enjoy my peanut butter smile.
Reply:Lightly toast the bread first -- it actually holds up better when you slather on the PB%26amp;J -- I like a thick coating.

I use regular white bread (toasted), spread Jif Extra Crunchy peanut butter on one side of both pieces of bread, spread Smuckers Strawberry Jam on the peanut butter on one slice, and place the other slice on top, PB sides facing each other, so you've got: Bread, Peanut Butter, Jam, Peanut Butter, Bread.

Slice diagonally and enjoy.
Reply:Yum! I use bad-for-you-white-bread (Wonder, Butternut, etc.). Peter Pan smooth peanut butter gets slathered on one piece of bread, edge-to-edge. Then, Welch's grape jelly is placed on top of the peanut butter, but not all the way to the edge. The second piece of bread is slathered edge to edge with more peanut butter. The second piece of bread is placed over the first. The peanut butter around the edges makes a seal to keep the jelly from squirting out the sides.
Reply:Skippy extra crunchy peanut butter, Welches grape jelly on Home Pride wheat bread. Put about and 1/8 layer of jelly on the piece of bread that will be the top. Wipe any excess jelly onto the bottom piece of bread (to avoid putting jelly in the peanut butter jar). Peanut butter on the bottom, about 3/16 thick. Place jellied piece on top of peanut buttered piece and eat with the jelly on top!!!

P.S. I always leave the crust on (might just be too lazy to cut it off!!!!)
Reply:Dear Daughter, I was going to answer your question but I'm having my own problem with the bread I have been buying. It is too sweet, therefore a I'm trying to find a bread without sweet in it. I like the Vons (supermarket bakery) Sheepherders bread but you may not be familiar with it. Jif peanut butter and any good quality strawberry jam (your Mother will know what I mean). Best Wishes on a Winning Science Fair Project!!!!
Reply:I love the original so here it is--

-Wonder Bread (White)

-Peter Pan Peanut Butter Smooth

-Welches Grape or Strawberry Jelly

P.S.- It's always fun to mix it up right? Why not have her use a cut out to shape the sandwiches?

2. Jiffy Peanut Butter (only)

3. Welch's Grape Jelly

I prepare it two different ways. Fast method....Smear jelly on one side and peanut butter on the other side and put together. NOT my favorite. Second method: get a small bowl, add spoonful of peanut butter and a spoonful of jelly and mix it up good. Then spread on both sides of toast. Yummmm.
Reply:What I usally do for my daughter is take one almost over ripe bananna and about half a cup of JFG peanut butter with nuts and put both in a bowl and smash it up together, then I take two peices of white wheat bread and lightly toast them then I cut another banana up smash that in a bowl and then spread the pb.bananna mix on one side and bananna on the otherside and lightly press them togther and cut diagonally for fun. Enjoy!
Reply:I use toasted bread, and welch's grape jelly.

Then I use Jif peanut butter.

Combine them, and it is good.
Reply:2 pieces of whole wheat bread (preferably toasted)...butter them...on one piece spread Kraft Crunchy Peanut Butter but not too thick...on other slice, spread E.D. Smith's Strawberry Jam thinly...place two slices together and cut them across...Not diagonally...enjoy
Reply:1. Wonder Bread - 2 slices

2. Skippy Extra Crunchy Peanut Butter

3. Welch's Grape Jelly

Put the peanut butter on one slice of bread %26amp; the jelly on the other. Put them together and cut in half diagonally.

Been doing it this way for many, many years!
Reply:I love Goober PB+J combo. It is so delicious. If I can't get it, I get a thick peanut butter with (30%?) jelly jam (half and half). The brand I like for jelly jam is Smuckers.

The bread that Smuckers' Uncrustables have is really good!
Reply:Egg bread (anything not white); Laura scudders crunchy peanut butter, smuckers grape jam.
Reply:I loooove PB+J's!!

I make them with whole wheat bread (usually just the store brand)

I use JIF peanut butter creamy original on one slice of bread. I use a lot of peanut butter - 2 tbsps maybe-?

I spread Welch's Grape Jam on the other slice of bread, but I only use like a thin layer of jam

Then I put the slices together and cut the sandwich in half the long way, not diagonally.. and thats how I eat my sandwich, and I always have a glass of milk with it, thats the best!
Reply:Yummm, great project!

Using Mrs. Baird's bread, Jiffy Peanut Butter, and Smucker's Red Plum jam:

Spread p.n.b. on one piece of bread taking it ALL the way and over the crust so that children will eat the crust too.

Do the same with the jam. Use lots of jam so you can taste how good it really is.

Close up the sandwich and eat it fast before someone in the family grabs it!
Reply:one piece of soft white bread

Jiff Peanut Better

Welches Grape Jelly

another pieces of soft white bread
Reply:Lots of skippy creamy peanut butter and a lighter amount of welch's grape jelly between two slices of home pride wheat bread.

I have done this before. The more often I shave, the quicker it grows back. Once when i was somewhere without a razor for like 4 days, i came back and shaved and it stayed smooth for a whole day instead of the ususual couple of hours. so you dont need to conduct anything. it's the same with my legs too. it grows back quicker the more often u shave it.

What is the percentage of gay people in the world?

What percentage of people in the world are gay or lesbian? (Bi-curious people are not included)

Can you give me the best estimate with reliable stats or survey results?

What is the percentage of gay people in the world?
The average ratio from several studies are that 9.56% of men are homosexual and 4.75% of women are homosexual.

The Indiana University Kinsey Reports (Sexual Behavior in the Human Male - Kinsey, Pomeroy, and Martin/Sexual Behavior in the Human Female - Kinsey, Pomeroy, Martin, and Gerhard) reported 10% of males being more or less exclusively homosexual and 2% to 6% of females being more or less exclusively homosexual.

A 1990 study (Homosexuality/Heterosexuality by McWhirter, Sanders, and Reinisch) stated 13.95% of males and 4.25% of females had "extensive" or "more than incidental" homosexual experience.

A 1993 study (The Janus Report on Sexual Behavior - Janus and Janus) found 9% of men and 5% of women were involved in frequent or ongoing homosexual experiences.

A 1994 study (The Social Organization of Sexuality: Sexual Practices in the United States - Laumann, Gagnon, Michael, Michaels) reported that the incidence rate of homosexual desire for men is 7.7% and 7.5% for women.

In 1995, a survey (The prevalence of homosexual behavior and attraction in the United States, the United Kingdom and France: Results of national population-based samples - Sell, Wells, and Wypij) reported 6.2, 4.5, and 10.7% of males and 3.6, 2.1, and 3.3% of females in the United States, the United Kingdom, and France, respectively, report having had sexual contact with someone of the same sex in the previous 5 years.
Reply:χριστοφορος gave you some of the best information you will find anywhere. The "10%" standard figure has been around for years, but that is for gay men only. There aren't as many gay women as men, so when you combine the two, the result is closer to 7%.

However, in the 01 May 2008 issue of The Advocate magazine (a gay/lesbian publication), they reported a poll coming from Hunter College showing only 2.9% (NOTE: this was a poll, not rigid scientific inquiry).

So, to answer your question, it would be anywhere between 2.9% and 7%.
Reply:The 10% statistic was from the Kinsey Reports published in the 1940s and 50s, and probably an overestimation due to having a biased sample.

I'd believe a number between 1-5%.
Reply:It's commonly assumed to be aboout 10%.

Stats and surveys would be little help, as I'm sure a large percentage are not willing to reveal that information.
Reply:Most people will say about 10% but there is really no accurate statistic since that doesn't include all the people who aren't openly gay.

Has anyone heard of the survey...?

That there were nurses and a doctor of higher authority. The doctor had a subject set in a mock electric chair and there was a power switch labeled; low, medium, high, and death. Each nurse would come in and the doctor would tell her what was going on and he would tell the nurse to keep turning the switch up higher and the person in the chair would act as if they were actually being electrocuted. If the nurse refused to go higher she or he would be fired.

If you have heard can you give me a link to the survey results?

Has anyone heard of the survey...?
nope- you have confused at least 2 maybe 3 experiments.

there were experiments, with people dressed as doctors, where the subjects were the ones turning on fake electric shocks - but they thought the subjects were the people getting the electric shocks.

no real doctors,

no real nurses

nobody getting fired

as best i recall, the shocking ( no pun intended) was how many of the true subjects kept upping the electricity because the 'authority" told them to.

lots of ethics papers and research came about as a result of this experiment.

Quick Survey... True or False?

First off, i dont care if you know alot about the subject terms or not. If you could also tell me you age and what country, or what portion of america you live in that would be great. (you dont have to, it just gives me another thing to add onto the survey results for the online portion) If you could just write t/f in a list or something and then the last 2 answers, that would be great!

Does anyone know the cost of conducting face to face interviews?

I need the cost (and cost breakdown) of conducing face to face interviews and tabulating the survey results....

anyone know where I can get an average cost?

Does anyone know the cost of conducting face to face interviews?
who do you want to interview... some people for it for free, some do it for some money, some do it for a lot of money.

Does anyone know the cost of conducting face to face interviews?
What kind of interviews?

The only cost of conducting job interviews would be your Human resources employees time as potential employees would come to the office.

Unless you have advertising costs.

Survey of Climatologists on Global Warming?

Does anyone know of a credible survey (preferably with results online) of climatologists asking their opinion on global warming. Those who believe it's happening say that the vast majority of the scientific community believe that it's happening and that man is the primary cause. Those that say it's not happening say there's no concensus among scientists.

Survey of Climatologists on Global Warming?
Not really a survey, but the following link might help since it totally debunks an oft cited 'survey'.
Reply:Global warming is not a myth, it is real. There are no questions about it. Trust me, I'm taking geoscience in HS. Anybody who says it isnt real is faking it or being an idiot, or doesn't want to scare ne1. It's real, and it's happening
Reply:Hi, I am a meteorologist. Perhaps asking you to trust my authority is not the way to go, but imagine this. Imagine if someone told you, "Scientists don't have a consensus about whether or not gravity holds people onto Earth." That's how I feel hearing your question.

Who told you this B.S. about no consensus? I'll bet they can't even tell you how they "know" about a lack of consensus! The only *credible* big-name scientist who I ever heard of who also knocked global warming (a guy name Lindzen) was funded by Big Oil. Of course, funding analysis brings almost any scientist's motivation into question, so that's not the strongest argument. Still, my point being, the consensus about mankind-driven global warming is nearly unanimous when it comes to physicists/meteorologists/climatologists... However, there is debate about how bad the results will be, and some dissemblers (ie, liars) claim this is as a lack of consensus. Yes, there is always a possibility that non-linear effects can temporarily shift the climate into a colder state. However, the fundamentals go this way... More CO2 means more infrared radiation (read this as "heat") will be absorbed by the atmosphere (and more will also be emitted towards the Earth by the atmosphere). Do you trust "clever" arguments that explain how Earth's atmosphere can turn *colder* when more energy goes into it?! Also, ALL such clever arguments become very weak when you ask - what happens over the long run? Think - if the atmosphere and Earth are both going to be absorbing MORE infrared (heat) radiation. These entities will then begin to warm up -- until their higher temperatures cause them to be re-radiating enough energy to compensate for the extra energy they had begun to absorb. Yes, equilibrium can be reached. But the equilibrium REQUIRES an increase in temperature. Why would anyone expect more radiative heat to cool the Earth? Aaah, it's late, I'm rushing, I digress, I'm frustrated. Too many dissemblers on this planet - may you succeed in your quest for the truth.

The results of surveying some members of a concert audience are told below, how many people are in the?

sample? when asked if they enjoyed the concert, 38 said yes, and 12 said no [38 or 12 or 50 or 26?

what is the probability that a person in the audience enjoyed the concert[ 19/25 or 6/19 or 19/6 or 6/25?

predict how many of the 725 people in the audience would say they enjoyed the concert [229 or 114 or 551 or 605? if possible explain how you came up with results, 10 points automatically

The results of surveying some members of a concert audience are told below, how many people are in the?
38 out of 50 enjoyed the concert. When this fraction is reduced, you get a probability of 19/25. To predict how many out of 725 would enjoy the concert, one would need to see how many times 25 goes into 725, which would be 29. Finally, multiply 19 by 29 to get 551. So approximately 551 out of 725 people would enjoy the concert.

P.S. Isn't this a math question?

Which online survey that british use most?

Hi there!!

I am a MA student and recently need to do a questionaire.

But i don't have enough time to do the street survey! Plz tell me which online survey people use most and i can get the result asap!! Many thanks!!

Which online survey that british use most?
You have to learn to make the time. Organise you life a little better and stop looking for the easy option.

How the heck do you think people graduated before computers!!!!
Reply:online survey?

Your question is a little confusing.

EDIT: I totally agree with what others have been saying here, you need to actually use software that allows you to crate a survey so it shows what your research field is and what values you are using in order to gain the preferred results for that population you are using. Simply going online is not giving a detailed explanation of how you made your survey, what the values are and what the working out was.

EXCEL...i am working on a survey....how can i create DYNAMIC TABLES for tabulating results?

Pivot tables, then refresh the data when necessary. You may have the data automatically refresh upon entry. Rather than copy all of the EXCEL help files here, go there and type in "pivot tables".

How do I send out survey forms and get responses back with Outlook?

I have Outlook 2003 running on Exchange Server.

I want to create an e-mail that presents the user with several options (toggle boxes, or radio buttons) and then they can send the reply back to me and I can tabulate the results.

Is there any built-in utility in Outlook to allow me to do this? I've searched online and the suggestions I found didn't seem to work.

Thanks!

How do I send out survey forms and get responses back with Outlook?
I'm fairly certain that it is possible by creating an Outlook Form. However, it has been 10 years since I created a survey like that. Search for "Outlook survey form" or "Outlook form" and you will learn more about it.

I'm sure there are programs that will help if you don't want to learn how. Alternatively, there are survey services like Survey Monkey available that use the web to gather data. www.surveymonkey.com

Thanks you for doing this. This will help me a lot in my project. Thanks again!

Survey...everyone answer please...I have to do a project on the results.?
Some people are not going to hate me for this, but here goes! =]

1. I think that abortion is somewhat the same as murder. Why not adopt a child before you decide to just up and kill it?Adoption is a very easy process. You knew what was going to happen when you were doing what you did to get pregnant. I don't think it's fair to the child at all. When they are in their mother's stomach, they are alive...they are a person..they should be able to experience things...I just don't agree with it UNLESS there is a reason for it...like medical reasons.

2. I do not believe that homosexuality is ok. Two men can't have babies. Two women can't have babies. Men and women are supposed to breed, not man and man. I think that society and especially in America...everyone feels as if it's ok, when it's not. That's why there are so many diseases right now. People are expirimenting on all the wrong things, and same sex marriage is just not called for. What are children supposed to look up to. A mother does not want to see her son ADOPT a child because he wants to have a one-thing relationship with another man.

3. When you commit a crime, you should do the time, right? If a person kills another person, they have taken a life....they shouldn't get three years for a person who has a family and they won't get to see their relative in three years, will they? I think that if someone murders someone, the rest of their life should be FAR from LUXURY....unless it was self defense, of course.

4. Yes, I believe in God. I will not disclose my religion. I believe in what my family has taught me and I go by their word.

Can I bill telephone survey companies for my time?

Since telephone surveys are exempt from the Federal Do Not Call list and they are getting paid to conduct surveys, why can't I charge them a consulting fee for answering my phone and replying to their questions? I have found that by politely saying no does not discourage pollsters, they just call back another time. I have found that wasting their time by giving them conflicting answers frustrates them and often results in them hanging up on me is entertaining but doesn't adequately compensate me for the inconvenience of having to deal with an unwanted/unsolicited call. Perhaps a short script read to a pollster outlining the terms and conditions under which questions will be answered, a warning that the call is being recorded to document the particulars, specifically the poll takers name, the poll takers billing address and agreement to pay a consulting fee of x $/ hour with a minimum billing unit of x hours. If I am fair game simply because I have a phone, I may as well get paid!

Can I bill telephone survey companies for my time?
people who raise a stink like that usually do get a settlement and and apology, if you do it, go all out. don't quit. i recently saw a guy get several thousand dollars and breakfast with the president of nicor gas by complaining lol gl

What percent of military veterans are democrats? Republicans?

I'm not looking for guesses or hunches. Does anyone have any real evidence/survey results?

What percent of military veterans are democrats? Republicans?
Historically, voting by the military has been between 65-75% Republican.

This varies.

As for the actual make up of the military there are no real offical records.

This shift occured following the end of the draft and the formation of the all volunteer military.

In general, it takes a more conservative mindest to subject yourself (volunteer) to a regimented lifestyle vs the draft military in the 60-70's where it was forced on people. Even among the Democrats in the military, they tend to be on the moderate side vs. the liberal side.

Most military members that do discuss it claim independent and often share a kind of Libratarian view of things (personal responsibility.)
Reply:All I know is that 25% of registered voters are registered Democrat and 25% are registered as Republican. That means 50% are non-partisan or registered as members of minor parties.

The only real evidence I have to make a connection between a certain sub-group of veterans (retired military officers) and any particular political affiliation comes from 16 years ago. During the 1992 campaign season, the national coordinator and virtually every state coordinator for H.Ross Perot's campaign for President was a retired military officer.

I think you will get a skewed distribution depending on the age of the veteran, his place of residence in some cases and the voting pattern of his family members.
Reply:Believe it or not, they don't put our political affiliation on our dog tags. Therefore, nothing like "evidence" exists. I can tell you, from experience, the same thing everyone else can tell you from their own experience.... Something over 65% vote Republican.

At my retirement seminar everyone in the class took a Myers-Briggs personality test. Almost everyone had results that were described as "typical" by the peson conducting the seminar. It's a personality that would typically be associated with a person with conservative political views.

Most careeer military people score as ESTJ on the test.....

Extraverted Sensing Thinking Judging

by Joe Butt

Profile: ESTJ

Revision: 3.0

Date of Revision: 26 Feb 2005

--------------------------------------...

Every right-minded man has a philosophy of life, whether he knows it or not. Hidden away in his mind are certain governing principles, whether he formulates them in words or not, which govern his life. Surely his ideal ought to be to contribute all that he can, however little it may be, whether of money or service, to human progress.

--John D. Rockefeller, Random Reminiscences of Men and Events

ESTJs thrive on order and continuity. Being extraverted, their focus involves organization of people, which translates into supervision. While ENTJs enjoy organizing and mobilizing people according to their own theories and tactically based agendas, ESTJs are content to enforce "the rules," often dictated by tradition or handed down from a higher authority.

ESTJs are joiners. They seek out like-minded companions in clubs, civic groups, churches and other service organizations. The need for belonging is woven into the fiber of SJs. The family likewise is a central focus for ESTJs, and attendance at such events as weddings, funerals and family reunions is obligatory.

Tradition is important to the ESTJ. Holidays, birthdays and other annual celebrations are remembered and observed often religiously by this type. The ESTJ is inclined to seek out his roots, to trace the family heritage back to honored ancestors both for a sense of family respectability and for a sense of security and belonging.

Service, the tangible expression of responsibility, is another key focus for ESTJs. They love to provide and to receive good service. The ESTJ merchant who provides dependable service has done much to enhance her self image.

ESTJs have an acute sense for orthodoxy. Much of their evaluation of persons and activities reflects their strong sense of what is "normal" and what isn't. ESTJ humor is frequently centered around something or someone being off center or behaving abnormally.

ESTJs promote the work ethic. Power, position and prestige should be worked for and earned. Laziness is rarely viewed with ambivalence nor benevolence by this type.

Some men can make decisions and some cannot. Some men fret and delay under criticism. I used to have a saying1 that applies here, and I note that some people have picked it up.

--Harry S. Truman, Mr. Citizen

1"If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen."

The ESTJ is outspoken, a person of principles, which are readily expressed. The ESTJ is not afraid to stand up for what she believes is right even in the face of overwhelming odds. ESTJs are able to make the tough calls.

Occupations attracting ESTJs include teaching, coaching, banking, political office, and management at all levels.

Functional Analysis:

Extraverted Thinking

ESTJs are very good at making impersonal decisions quickly, and standing by those decisions. They live in their Extraverted Thinking functioning, thus, their prime directive is in discovering that which is true and logical in the events of the real world. Circumstances calling for product invite the ESTJ to supervise or direct other individuals toward production and productivity. Extraverts are attracted to the "object," the external things and people in observable reality. This bent translates into a natural interest in goods and material objects.

Introverted Sensing

The secondary Introverted Sensing is like that of the ISTJ, but not as strong. Si provides practical form and concept data to the Te head, however, form is not the overriding principle, especially if Thinking has already decided. In times of need, ESTJs are tempted to overlook even necessary information if its absence impedes closure. Secondary sensing sometimes translates into interest in sports. The persistence of primary Thinking gives many ESTJs a desire for discipline and regimen which can be beneficial in skills development in the arena.

Extraverted iNtuition

As the ESTJ matures, and as situations arise which call for suspension of criticism, Extraverted iNtuition is allowed to play. Under the leadership of the Te function, iNtuition gravitates toward the discovery of broad categories which at worst amount to stereotypes. Those ESTJs who hone their Ne abilities may find success in academia. (I've encountered ESTJs whose Ne overshadows the auxiliary Si function--for whatever reason--to the extent that there is an appearance of NT radical geekism.)

Introverted Feeling

This function may rarely be expressed. ESTJs who have cultivated, or have been blessed with, a "natural indirect expression of good will by inference," have great prospects of developing genuine friendships (as opposed to ESTJs who merely act out the behavior of Extraverted Feeling). Such a weak, introverted function is best observed in facial expression, eye contact, body language, and verbally only by implication.

Famous ESTJs:

Simon Peter (Christ's disciple)

John Heywood (c.1497-c.1580, collector of English colloquialisms)

How can i make an online survey?

i am doing my dissertation and i want to make an online survey for data collection and analysis. i want to make a survey that can collect the results for me so that i can analyze it and present them accordingly.

How can i make an online survey?
Personally, if I were you, I would google a how-to on it, or just use a bit of php (which I doubt is necessary). As far as geting internet users to actually visit this survey, I would suggest Meta tagging or spamming in related forums.
Reply:there are websites setting for polls or surveys...google it..its that simple a caveman can do it
Reply:Many legit survey companies will allow you do it. But you will also have to see if their price suits your budget. How about you use squidoo to create a poll page than invite people to participate. It is free, the only thing is you need to find the people to participate.

Any good online survey website that is free?

I need to conduct an online survey for my assingment. Is there any free ones where I can view each individual result from each participant?

Many free ones only show the cumulative result for each question, and I need to pay to view the individual result from each participant

Any suggestion is appreciated. Thanks in advance

Any good online survey website that is free?
surveymonkey.com
Reply:If possible you could open your own website, or make a page on your school website.

If not...maybe you can set up a booth (at a science fair or somthing) and test random people?

Need help analyzing survey in Excel!!?

I need to analyze survey results in Excel. I don't need to compare one question with another question (i.e. How many 15-19 year olds think smoking is harmful) so the Pivot Table component is no use (or is it?). I just need to know how many of people answered Q1 with a response of A, how many with a response of B, etc.

I can only think of analyzing each question separately. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Need help analyzing survey in Excel!!?
Yes, a pivot table should be just the thing.

Let's say you have Question#s (Q1, Q2, etc.) in col. A, and Answers in col. B (A, B, C, etc.).

1) select all your data; just be sure that each column in your selected data has a heading at the top.

2) Data - PivotTable and PivotChart Report, this will bring up the pivot table wizard

- step 1: say OK

- step 2: make sure all your data is selected

- step 3: pick whether you want it in a new sheet

This will create the empty table structure.

3) You should have a list of fields on the right, showing Question#, Answer, and whatever else you selected.

- drag the Question# field to where it says "Drop Row fields here" on the left

- drag the Answer field to top of the table, where it says "Drop Column fields here"

- drag the Question# again, this time to where it says "Drop Data Items here"

You will end up with a table that has a row for each Question, and columns for how many people answered A, how many answered B, etc.

If you need more info, pls. add detail or e-mail.

Good luck!

.
Reply:if you have access to a mac with office installed, excel contains a feature called "list manager" that can easily do what you want. if not, your best bet is to set up a counter for each possible response and do it that way (don't know the formula off the top of my head). should be fairly quick, unless you have a lot of questions.

Just Curious Survey: When contemplating whether or not to get out of bed ...?

... do you sometimes deliberately deploy stalling tactics in hopes that the day will pass you right by?

Just Curious Survey: When contemplating whether or not to get out of bed ...?
Let's see, last year I went through 8 alarm clocks deploying stalling tactics, so yeah I deliberately try to get the day to pass. ~~Peace~~
Reply:I always hope.....but eventually I have to pee.
Reply:You must be talking about days off. No, I feel like a scumbag when I stay in bed all day, so I don't deploy stalling tactics in hopes that the day will just pass me by. I dislike feeling like I wasted the day.

During workdays, I try to deploy tactics to get me out of bed.

Hope my answer helps your marketing research!
Reply:Only if it is a working day,

otherwise this is not an issue for me.

P.S. Can you send me some cheese?
Reply:Yes indeed, but usually feel guilty about it, the longer I stay in bed. Must be something from my childhood haunting me. My parents were very hard workers, and expected the same of their kids.
Reply:You guys...jeez. NO. stall the day. make it last longer. there aren't enough hours in it. don't let life pass you by. Aren't you comfortable with the present and afraid of the future?
Reply:As with everything in my life I never contemplate.

I know it needs to be done, so I just do it!

Wow! I didn't think you guys slept in beds.

LOL
Reply:Yes I do.

I have bad sleeping habits and major isomnia. I really need to break the habit, but have yet to be successful.

I have deliberately set the air-conditioner to go to 50 degrees so it will be too cold for me to get out of my nice warm bed. I have put my alarm clock right next to my bed, so when it goes off, all I have to do is turn it off and not worry about getting up and walking across my room to turn it off.
Reply:Let me close my eyes and dream about my answer to this question, z-z-z-z-z-z-z, The answer is A-L-W-A-Y-S!!!!!!!!
Reply:Almost everyday! Ha
Reply:no
Reply:yeah. almost every day.

but then I realize how late it is, and rush out the door for work.

saturdays are a whole nother story! I stay in bed all day when I have the chance!!
Reply:Yesssssssssssss

But sometimes I know that it would be best for me to get out of bed.

Reply:i don't know but i think that quite possibly yes, there probably are people out there who like getting the panties in a twist.
Reply:I prefer when someone does this for me, such as that lady in red.
